HONEY CHICKEN

This is an one stop recipe for days when u r going through soo much and have no time. This recipe us perfect to lift up your mood in an instance. Enjoy the sweet yet spicy chicken for your weekend dinner .

INGREDIENTS
– Boneless Chicken cut into 1″ pieces –
300 gms
FOR THE MARINATION
– Salt- 1/2 tsp
– Pepper Powder-1/2 tsp
– Grated Garlic- 1 tsp (2-3 cloves)
– Whisked Egg- 1
SAUCE
– Tomato Ketchup- 2 tbsp
– Dark Soy Sauce- 1 tbsp
– Honey- 1.5 tbsp
– White Sugar- 2 tbsp
– White Vinegar- 2 tsp
-Water- 2 tbsp
OTHER INGREDIENTS
-Corn Flour- 3 tbsp
– Corn Slurry- 1 tsp corn flour mixed in 4 tbsp – water
– Oil- 2 tsp
– White Sesame Seeds- 1 tsp ( Roasted)
– Chopped garlic – 1 tbsp
– Oil for deep frying
PREPARATION
1) Marinate the chicken with items specified. Mix well and set aside for 30 mins. After 30 mins add the corn flour and mix well to make it ready for frying.
2)Take a small bowl and add all the ingredients specified for the sauce. Mix and set aside for use later. Make sure the sugar is dissolved before adding it to the pan later.
PROCESS
1) Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
2) Drop in the battered chicken pieces one at a time to not crowd the pan. Fry on medium heat for around 5-6 mins till golden. Remove and keep on a plate. Fry the rest in batches.
3) Set a pan on high heat add 2 tsp oil and chopped garlic saute for a minute.
4) Now add prepared sauce keep stirring it on medium heat for 1-2 mins till the sauce is cooked and starts thickening.
5) Add the corn slurry, mix and cook it for a minute and then add the fried chicken pieces. Mix it well.
6) Stir fry on high heat for another minute till the chicken pieces are coated well with the sauce.
7) Once nearly thickened, add the sesame seeds give a mix and serve hot.
